7:00 PM - 8:00 PMon ZoomBader Lecture Series Featuring Rabbi David Ellenson, Ph.D.
This lecture has been changed to Writings on The Holocaust and Israel, in light of Yom HasShoah.
On the eve of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Memorial Day), we will recall that perhaps the two most major events to have had an impact on American Judaism as well as Jews worldwide have been the tragedy of the Holocaust and the establishment of the State of Israel. This session will explore the writings of a diverse array of thinkers ranging from Jacob Neusner and the Satmar Rabbi to Judith Butler and Ruth Wisse, from Emil Fackenheim to Peter Beinart and the Editors of Commentary Magazine on the importance and meaning of these events to Jews in America today.
Funded by the Betty & Jack Bader Adult Education Fund, which supports the scholar-in-residence & other adult education programs.
