There are currently about 400,000 children in the foster care system, about 14,000 here in NY.  Children entering the system usually arrive with all their possessions in a garbage bag and often move from home to home with only a garbage bag in hand.

We will gather as a congregation to fill and decorate duffle bags for foster children so they no longer need that a garbage bag.

All supplies have been purchased in advance, so we are asking for a contribution with registration (however not required).  Please consider sponsoring one bag or multiple bags with a contribution to the Tikkun Olam Fund.  (Each bag costs $30.)   All bags will go to Foster Love.
