Cooking as a Community 20221

In conjunction with others in Northern Westchester you can help this large Tikkun Olam (Social Action) program feed 3000 people for Thanksgiving.

This year we are asking for:

• Donations (turkeys, potatoes, butter, tins and more) 
• Members to cook at home (click here for our turkey instructions, click here for our mashed potato recipe)
• Members to come to the temple to prepare and cook

Sign up today to help us plan and fill our goal of 50 cooked turkeys and 100s of pounds of mashed potatoes.

If you can join us in the Social Hall to cook all together on Sunday, November 21:
From 12:00 – 2:00 pm we invite vaccinated members to join us for potato prep.  We will be peeling, chopping, and prepping 500 pounds of potatoes.
From 3:00 – 4:00 pm we invite families and all members to join us in our big MASH!  Our ECC families will be making their famous cornbread. 
During both sessions masks will be required.

Please use this form sign up in advance, so we can plan accordingly.

Not to worry if you can’t join us on Sunday.  Your family can do their own cooking party at home.  Cooking a turkey at home would be a huge help.  Or, make a tray of mashed potatoes!  Please “pledge” your cooked turkey and/or your tray of mashed potatoes on the sign up form so we know what to expect.

Drop off your cooked items Sunday, November 21 between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
